Bump!
Colatkitty, sorry the wife doesn't like these! Bummer! Well, someone has a chance to get a great exhaust for good price! I just installed mine last weekend (nicely broken in by forum member Nikki) and I love them! Nice pops and burbles as you heel toe or let off the throttle. It makes the car so much more fun to drive, and it's easier to heel toe with greater perfection. Since someone will ask about drone: I was worried about it, especially at cruising speeds, and yet I was pleasantly surprised! At cruising speeds (2.8k - 3.2k there is no drone when at cruising throttle levels). Get on it heavily and it gets louder, but I wouldn't say it drones. Some drone at around 2K and around 3.5K, but neither are RPM ranges one tends to stay in very long (3.5K in 6th is ~83 MPH, ticket range for most of us). GLWS! Someone needs to grab these! I have Diablos with about 1200 miles on them and here's my take:
They drone at ALL cruising speeds, some are just louder than others. Besides, it's annoying to be forced to cruise at a certain RPM to hear less drone. I'd love to ride with you Finnegan because I just don't buy it. Around town, the sound is intoxicating and puts a smile on my face. Obviously no drone issues around town. When I'm on the freeway, I get annoyed with them quickly. The only reason I continue to deal with them is the around-town sound... I'm afraid that if I "neuter" my car with anything less, I'll be unhappy. It's a love/hate. OP, sorry for hijacking a bit. They do sound awesome and are almost guaranteed wife-annoyance weapons if that's your thing

yes, it does drone. i usually keep it a gear lower than normal to avoid the drone rpm. its mainly a problem when you are going up hill at low rpm for me. hwy speed is ok. i think drone is at its worse around 2-2500rpm if i remember correctly

OP, GLWS, I love them, moving this discussion to another thread in the exhaust section.

I have to chime in, as I had a pair for a year or two on the 2006 M roadster. In town(or a parking garage) these things are the bomb. Love them more than my Eisenmans because of the popping and burbling. Brings a smile everytime but the highway cruising was annoying. Almost embarrassing since you cant talk to the passenger w/o raising your voice. Stereo? yea right. Had to crank it up. The Eisenmanns are a perfect balance although I miss the popping a little
And all this was in a top up roadster. I cant imagine a coupe. But alas I miss the hell out of them and wish I had a dump switch as I would get another pair in a heartbeat. Also the tips dont stick out far enough for me. They get longer when hot but they still are a little short. My two cents

LOL I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. I thought maybe I was hallucinating They get at least 1/2 inch longer when hot. Personally though I think they're perfect length. A pinch beyond flush.

great price. If you wait until summer time, people will be beating each other with a stick to take it off your hands. GLWS
