Brake pad change light question
Hi,
Is the only thing associated with the pad change light an indication that the pads need changed? If I were to say accidentally break the sensor wire would that trip the light? I ask because my light came on, but I don't have the sensors plugged in, but my light came on. Here's an example found from the Internet of the light |

Yes. When an open circuit is detected the brake light comes on. The sensors act like a fuse: there is a wire in the sensor and when the sensor wears down enough to break the wire, the light goes off (or comes on in this case).
