H&R Coilovers

Does anyone know where is the best place to purchase H&R Full coilovers? I've searched and searched but hopefully some one will give me good input. Thanks for all the help!

Hope this is the right section to post this. If not sorry

Oh BTW, how do you like them? Are you for looks or performance. I know they lower the car really low

Did you have to do any mods when you installed yours? Or is it straight bolt on? Thanks for your input

You control how much you wanna lower of course. They're GREAT bang for the buck. a nice, reputable company too. I sit a bit above max bottom, so it was pretty rough in Philly, but the roads are much better in South Florida, so here I can't even tell I'm running stiff suspension.

I'd say HR springs by themselves were the biggest jump over stock, and then upgrading later to coilovers was still an improvement, but not as drastic.

The fronts are veeery easy to adjust for height. The rears are kinda a bitch, but you shouldn't have to do it often, expecially if you cornerbalance the car

Haven't tried. They kept the car fairly flat during autocross though

just a side story about my H&R coilovers, installed for almost 2 years with Koni sport shocks (nice ride height overall) but it suddenly drop more on driver side in this 2 weeks time and around half inches difference between both front left and right sides, sounds pretty weird
Need to bring the car back to the garage for check up ... sigh

I think you have springs. H&R coilovers utilize bilstein dampeners incorporated with the spring.

I was about to pull the trigger on a set but have read mixed reviews on them about being way way too harsh on uneven roads . And that the price difference to the kw is worth saving for them instead of the h&r.

My h&r are not harsh at all. My wife rode in the car while she was pregnant and never bothered her either

I've got a set, close to a year now. Ride is softer. However, I noticed I have more understeer. I'm looking to track my car this year so I'm aiming for street/track performance. So far, I think I need some new camber plates. Any of you guys track your H&R Street Performance coilovers? How'd it work out?

I have a set, still in the box. Bought them last year and just never went to the trouble of putting them on.

I would go $1100 plus shipping.

What do you think?

For BNIB, that would be a fair price to ask.

Thanks inTgr8r.

Guess I am as lazy posting in the classifieds as I am unwrapping and installing.

Mostly too busy at work to do much of anything.

If no response from the OP soon, I will get off my lazy butt and offer them up. no telling if I will ever install them.

Can you hear me say DUH?

Good thing I pay more attention when I'm behind the wheel.

Thanks,
