Smile His and Hers Z4's

Well after two+ years of ownership I can now give my wife back her car. I have finally sealed the deal on my own 2008 Alpine White Z4MC. 4300 miles on the odometer.

Flying out on the 9th to TX to collect the car and drive it back to VA.

Excitement is NOT the proper word....

Not selling the Roaster. My wife loves the crap out of it.....

Let the modding begin...

You should get the CF roof thats for sale. It'll look great on white, not so much in any other color. It's the best mod you can do to an AW M coupe for looks.

Take 40 headed east as opposed to beat-all-to-hell 10. Plus you'll get to cross through the Appalachians...

We are taking I-20 east out of TX. That takes us all the way to Atlanta where we get on I-85 which then takes us past the BMW plant..... then all the way up to VA

We are watching the weather. If the weather is good, we are going to hit I-59 at Birmingham, cut over through the Great Smoky's and do the "Tail of the Dragon"

If we do the TOD, then that adds 200 miles to the trip, but it's worth it...

FYI, I40 is closed west of Asheville because of a rock slide. At least that's what the NCDOT website says. Coming from Knoxville, you'll probably want to go through Gatlinburg (which is probably what you're planning to do anyway). Sounds like a good trip. Lots of interstate, but the alternatives are limited.

Hopefully all this damn weather will be gone by then and you can catch a break on the trip back. BTW, my wife and I visited the factory in Spartanburg two weeks ago. It's well worth the layover. Try and stay at the Marriott out near the GSP airport, but book as far in advance as you can because it fills up with BMW execs and, Performance Center groupies and floks picking up their new X5's & X6s.
