I hear a clunk noise when shifting gears 1st to 2nd on 10mph? Is that Normal?

shift a little higher. these cars like to be shifted at high rpms. short shifting FTL

Yes its true and well known, if you shift at higher rpms it won't..

mine does it too.. they said its just a throw out bearing on the clutch but its normal

Yeah, shift @ higher rpm's and it will minimize the cluck... But not TOO high 'cuz you will get the 1-2 grind! LOL
