I think Im going to have him do mine with the black housing in March. Think it might look good with the space grey. But the thing is that its a pretty permanent thing. If I didnt like the black housing Im screwed unless I send it back and get it refinished. Debating on having him smoke the clear strip at the bottom also.

Also if you want come and check my lights before you send yours or when I remove my bumper you can take and fit in your car to test. mine are Black housing with white led/amber delete. Other thing tho I wish I had the amber lights not deleted, just think amber looks good on Imola Red cars, the whites don't look bad either but I will end up deleting them completely since I can't get the amber back, or maybe trade them with someone that want Amber delete since they are more expensive to do it. Agreed 100%. Im going to have to call and get a feel for the process. That being said they have been doing this for about two years. My main concern is I do keep the car for 10-15 years and something goes terribly wrong.

I can't car is on storage but mine is just like post #141. but anyways I still want keep the angel eyes and the black housing so straight swap would not work, if you have yours done but leave the amber lights alone then I could trade with you. they are really cool, the only thing I would prefer is to have orange light up at night, right now it light up white because is led's but I will disconnect them soon because I don't really need them on or get some orange bulbs for it.

I can't tell how it looks because all of the pix thus far have been in the daytime and/or the pictures aren't very good at capturing how the lights really show. Would need some really good photographers and/or cameras |

They look really good, the thing is that orange is a better match for red, but if I had other color of car I would not want orange most likely

Your lights were done by Tekarbon, if so how long ago was it? I know at one point they changed over from CCFL to LEDs...

Mine are just fine, zero issues after several years. (fingers crossed)
I'm not sure if they had a bad run of LEDs or changed suppliers at one point because some members have reported failed LEDs It shouldn't be too difficult to open them up the second time & repair yourself, if it comes to that.

LEDS here and going strong three years later! One of my favorite mods!

I got mine done @ Tekarbon (drove car down to SoCal) around 2 years ago, and they were LED ones. Thus far no issues, knock on wood.
Here's a pic from a couple years ago when I made that trip down to SoCal for track day @ Buttonwillow + visit friends in LA + get Tekarbon angel eyes done. I didn't have supercharger nor BBKs at the time, otherwise everything else about the same. Last edited by mfanatic325; 03-28-2015 at 03:16 PM.. |
