Aux for e85 Anywhere

Hi, trying to find (ideally) the ashtray Aux adapter for my e85. However, every site I can find says no longer sold, back order, etc.. Anyone seen these recently? Yes I've searched posts, but are all old and list sites that are no longer selling it. :P

BMW p/n 82110142174, looks to be unobtainium for quite some time now. I'd try finding any 2007+ Z4/Z4M at a wrecker and go that route. Should be on all cars from the factory as of 2007 (someone correct me if this is wrong - definitely true for Z4M).

Is the plain adapter still available? That's what I have.
You just need to poke a 0.25" hole in your location of choice.
Ashtray ... panel below heater controls ...
Mine just dangles behind the head unit and is connected to a vent mount dock with a standard patch cable.

AUX problem

I have a problem with AUX connection, radio does not show AUX option after I push MODE button. It doesn't recognise that the wiere is there.
My car (no navi) 03/2006:
S662A Radio BMW Business CD
S672A CD Changer For 6 CDs
S676A HiFi Speaker System
I have an empty space behind the radio in lower right corner, there is no switch there so I do as follows:

When I bought my simple Chinese knock off plug on adapter.... they were very specific as to where to plug in and it's orientation. It might be that your plug isn't oriented right.

Try turnermotorsport.com...that's where I ordered mine from. But this was 2 years ago.

Turner no longer carries them. I agree with earlier post as to order cable from turner and drill hole in ash tray.

I've looked at your setup and as far as I can tell you have it correct.
Where did you get this kit?
The stock mod has a nodule in the middle of the cable that's an equalizer or impedance matcher.
I think that's how it can tell if the Aux is present.
Does yours have something that looks like a couple of resistors and a couple of capacitors?

As an aside to add to the knowledge base, when it's over 100°F in my car it won't stay on Aux.
After 10-15 seconds it switches to AM. Once thing cool off it's fine.

here you go:
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...e/84110302893/
84110302893

That cable is used in a bunch of different models, so it shouldn't be discontinued any time soon. drill a 1/4" hole in the panel under your center console and pop that through, it is a panel mount aux connector so you mount it anywhere.

For the wiring, just pop the pins out of that black connector and then pop them in to the (same) black connector in the same spots that is already behind your radio.

This version actually looks a lot cleaner after the install than the factory version in the 07s and 08s.

Anyone know where to get one in 2023?
Most online parts stores list as discontinued.

There was a website for a wrecker out of CA I think which inventoried all parts from tons of German wrecked cars. Maybe I'll look for it there.

This aux cable would work and is still available.
