Red face Z4M Bumper Foglights?

Converting my Z4 front end to the Z4M bumper soon! Don't wanna lose the fog lights! I have seen foglights done but cannot figure where the foglights came from car wise. I do know they were OEM BMW foglights, they looked like e92 fogs but cannot tell for sure.

Can anyone give some input on this?

TIA

EDIT:

heres the pic i found, anyone know what car these fogs are from?

Garage List
Just get the Aero bumper, less drama then trying to fit fogs in an M bumper plus more appropriate for a non-M car.

Definitely a great option but I've already got the bumper lol.

Did consider the aero bumper but got the M bumper from a member on here for a decent price.

I replaced my facelift front bumper with a Z4M Bumper.
I considered fog lights mounted in the brake cooling ducts.
The wiring and switch are already in place so it was just a plug and play mod.
With ongoing product development with LED Fog lights and running lights, there are lots to choose from.
The stock bulbs were H3 Halogens and there is no problem with errors.

I chose round with multi leds. So far no problems and it's been 9 months.
I'm very happy with the mod although not quite as powerful as stock.

Nice, is there an error showing up?

leds are cool too, but i prefer the halogen style.

Do the fogs move at all during spirited driving? Also are your ducts painted?

No Error ..
Somewhere I read that the fog circuit is error isolated .
I can confirm that I have no fog related errors.

The LEDs were / are and experiment. More and better LED options seem to be arriving to the marketplace daily. These ones are more of a running light. I expect by now there are brighter options. I felt that given the harsh environment, being located at the base of a cooling duct, something that would continue to work while being oblivious to rain and road debris.
Some other options to consider besides halogens (H3's were stock), halos, and HIDs.
My Zed came with HID's so there really isn't really a need for additional lighting.

The fog light metal mounting bracket was attached to the bottom of the duct.
The duct is supported by these rare metal duct supports.

All in all the mount is very secure and there is no shake or giggle. I did secure the mount and electrical connections with epoxy.

Yes I painted the ducts. I was looking to increase the depth of cooling ducts. The jury is still out on that but I thought I'd give it a try and see what happens.

Hope this helps in your project.

Cheers.

Did you end up buying the front end new? I've been searching for one forever and can't seem to find one.

Nope ..
Started with this:

It was twisted

And there was damage to the grill opening

A very satisfying project.

Keep looking and maybe post in the Buy and Sell ...
I got mine on Ebay. Try and include as many of the extras (brake ducts, grills and brackets ) as they are more expensive than you expect.

Thanks jaf, very helpful. Nice to know someone went through the same thing i did, lol.

I too bought my bumper used with slight damage. Plan to go the same route you did and fix the fangs and possibly shave the reflector lights and nozzle covers.

As for the fogs, i may just end up borrowing someones e92 foglight and see my fitment options.

Ill definitely update the site with my outcome and the path there.
