BMW Original Bi Xenon Headlights
BMW Original Bi Xenon headlights from a 2006 Z4M E85 These do not include the igniters or main bulbs. They were 100% functional when I took them off the car. There is an aftermarket slightly smoked protective film on them. This is easily removed. NOTE: One of these headlights was partially opened, then resealed. This was because I was going to cuztomize them, but the shop said the plastic may break if they completely open them. So the partially opened headlight was resealed and re-installed to the car. I drove for 3 months during a very rainy season in the pacific north west and did not have any issues with water or humidity getting into the headlight. You can see this in the pictures. Left one. If you look in the pics you can see where it was re-sealed with eh material around the seam. I drove it for about 3 months in rainy winter, never had any moisture issues. I had a different set of headlights customized by the same shop and have never had any moisture issues. That said, I can't guarantee it, so being transparent about the state of the light.

I bought new ones of these same headlights - this was *VERY* expensive - and because they are brand new there were no issues with the plastic being brittle. Another guy I know opened his 15 year old lights without issues. Cheers, Eamonn aka eggman |

I don't have pics without the film on them. The film can't be reused, so I don't want to take it off. The lenses were "restored" prior to putting the film on and they looked basically new, with no discoloration.

Actually, I did find a pic of the car around when I first bought it with the headlights
- before restoration - without light smoke film This pic is on a dark and rainy day, so not great lighting, but you can see the headlight condition from afar. They were restored prior to the film being installed. I hope this helps clarify the condition. pre-restoration by Eamonn Glass, on Flickr |
