As I said before, there still are drone present on lower end of rpm esp. around 1800 to 2200 rpm. After that, there is no drone at all.

I am thinking dfk's new muffler flange will reduce significant amount of drone in theory,

Any update on exterior recordings?

Anyone experiment with Borla?

I'm think going to try the Aero Turbine Resonated. See this thread. I've PM'd back and forth with the new owner (Bignosejim) and the original owner (who had these cans custom built). The drone was very minimal with this setup and is present (but barely there) mainly below 2,500 RPM. Sound is stock-like but louder with no rasp.

Will it be loud enough for some of you? IDK, certainly not for Villalona!

But for about 260 for the cans, 150 for tips and connectors, and probably a couple hundred for fabrication it seems worth a shot!

That definitely sound like what I want. Little to no drone, sounds like stock but louder. I dont want to wake up the whole neighborhood but I do want a little more sound.

Exactly! That's what a lot of us are after. I'll hit up Jim in a few days (too close to the holidays) and see if he can do some sound clips for us. He did drive the car all the way from MD to TX, and didn't lose his mind, so I believe the claims about drone. That's a long way to go with major drone or a extremely loud exhaust. If I'd tried that in my E92 with my Gintani Race I would have probably gone totally insane due to the drone.

Some people just want the loudest damn exhaust they can find. If he can get some clips up I will definitely be appreciative. I also would love the part # and some pics if he could do that.

Bought them off a local corvette owner who had upgraded his exhaust.

I ended up going with a custom built magnaflow exhaust and used the C6 tips. They look great.

Hey all - I know this thread is old - I am basically copying exactly what was done by SpedRacer81 with Mangaflows and C6 Tips.. My only question is this:

Did you guys cut the flanges off the old muffler and weld to the new? or did you buy something to replace the old? I was looking at Walker 47124 pipe adapter but the notes in the description are garbage and I can't tell if this is an exact fit.

Any Flange help would be handy!

Thanks,

Chip
