Sold the Z4, getting a GTI

It has been fun on this forum! Z4 was no doubt got a good car.

Alot of fun.. but i need more seats and room now!

My car was a 2003 BMW Z4 with 86,000 miles. No problem what so ever. So for those who is thinking of buying a used one, i highly doubt high milage is an issue.

I personally will come back to a Z4 M Coupe or Roadster in 3 years time!

Good to hear that you had no issues with reliability! I am hoping for the same outcome with mine (except for the selling it part)

I had to get out of my roadster a few years ago & I'm back.
Be sure to stay in touch.

lol... that's what happened to me.
I was going to wait another year or so, but when I saw all these M Coupes coming on the market, it was game over.

having come from a vw, i think you'll really like the gti. the dsg is awesome, and there's ton of modding options for the 2.0t. and the new facelift gti looks much better than the mkv.

if you do get a chip, i highly recommend apr. i've done giac/wett/apr and apr was by far the best chip, most linear in power delivery and never heard anyone complain about overboosting, turbo failures etc.

Totally agree. Definitely get the DSG and call APR right away as soon as you have your new toy! Best of luck, GTIs can be a lot of fun! I had the very first US model in 1984 and it was a hoot.

thanks for all the feedback.. The APR chip is definitely in scope.

But i think this time i will be getting a manual.. I tried both DSG and manual.. DSG is fast and great... but my Z4 was auto.. kind of want to hold on to a stick or something.. LOL.. a change in life i guess.

I had a mkv gti manual with package 2. It was a GREAT car! I had the APR 93oct chip and it made a huge difference. I wish i had the money to keep my gti and get a M coupe. Remember DSG clutch plates are way more expensive than a clutch and pressure plate.
