Thanks Woots. The transparancy is appreciated!

How does it sound like between 2500-4500?

Below 2800 it sounds reasonably tame, which is ideal as I don't want to wake the dead when I'm trundling along

But between 3000-4500 it really growls

And then at higher revs it just screams at you

It's got quite an organic vocal range in that it changes character throughout the rev range, really need to get hold of a go pro...

Sounds awesome!

Below 2800, is it not noticeable or does it sound like a very conservative growl, like having a gruppe m on there or something?

But the idle hunting causes the Hill Assist function to stop working?

Anyway, the cold idle, yeah with brake applied it does hunt with brakes applied but it only does it while the idle sits at 1100rpm, after a minute the idle drops to 900 and then the hunting is vanished. While the revs are at the 1100 idle it does sound more throaty and pops a bit more than normal, and does smell quite fuel rich, not really an issue just an observation...might be something that's perfectly fine or it may be something evolve decide to get rid of in the revised maps in the coming future.

I'm pretty sure there are more lift off pops now though, and it sounds awesome above 6000rpm

At 7500 it's so loud that a bit if trim on the passenger a pillar sometimes vibrates

Awesome!!
Does the hunting vanish after about 30-60 seconds following a startup? The car starts in an open loop mode because the oxygen sensors aren't warmed up. Prior to them warming up, they will give inaccurate readings and are ignored by the ECU. The car should run rich at this stage to be on the safe side. Obviously there's "too rich", but "rich" is normal.

If I remember correctly, hill assist disengages on clutch engagement and not throttle. If I'm correct, it wouldn't have any noticeable effect in that regard.

Well I got used to the afe intake which growled more than stock, I would say it's 'slightly' more aggressive than afe below 2500 rpm, the mrs didn't really notice or comment on it when I take her to work and with her in car I drive extremely conservatively as if I'm on a driving test (a British one not an easy American one) so that's good, at least for me

I wanted something that when I'm taking my gran home she isn't in tears or haemorrhaging, but then on the way home I can release hell

I'm not sure about hill assist, as to activate it on cold start I'd need to apply the brake first to then hold it...and I don't want to press the brake as it bounces the revs...if that makes sense? So I can't use hill assist straight away

Yeah after 60ish seconds the revs drop to 900rpm at idle, I'd say it's about that time that the hunting disappears

Personally I like the noise it makes on start up (ignoring the bouncing brake rpm) it really sounds quite mean when it's bubbling and spitting away...and the smell just seems more 'Motorsport'

I could do with a second opinion from an outside party really so thru can say what they think

Planning on seeing Byron very soon so I'm sure he will have some words to say, and as I'm an aircraft engineer and he is a trained mechanic (as well as a trainee sex pest) so I'm sure we can put some words together

Not bad, just didn't expect it in this thread. Thought it deserved a funny response.

Sorry for the delay on these. Still moving everything over to the new workshop so the dyno is still in our old workshop.

BT still haven't sorted our fibre optic out so can't even send my video files to my editing guy. Think I will just send them via snail mail instead!

Looking good, Woots. Just placed my order this past week. Went with the high gloss finish, looks like yours is the Matt finish?

Awesome mate, looking forward to seeing how you get on with it

When are you expecting delivery? Yeah mine is raw carbon, not sure if it differs from the matt finish or if they are the same? I guess mines just straight out of the oven..
