Standard 225/40 & 255/35. I ended up with Conti ExtremeContact DW. (Bought at Tire Rack via the link at the top of the page).
It was a tough choice between those and the Michelin Pilot Super Sports, but at the end of the day I could save over $200, gain a little tread life & ride comfort, and only have to give up a small amount of performance. In reality, though, I'll still be GAINING a good amount of performance since all I've known to this point were the stock run flat 16" tires that are now almost 10 years old. |

Sorry but I do most of my posting from my iPad and the pics I have get rejected by the forum for being too large. Not sure how to edit my pics without a PC. I'll get on it.

TAL2GK, Did you weigh the 313s? How about a weight for wheel and tire?

Thanks, I should have waited till I got home to search, there are some things that an iPhone is less than ideal for.

i'm looking for the day when i can just download everything BMW related straight to my brain... then i can just utilize my internal search button. in my mind. all by myself. awesome. my only concern with that is that i'll have Google pop-up ads at inopportune moments, like driving, or eating, or watching... uh... ermmm... a movie. i guess it'd be ok if it happened while viewing something gross like a barfing dog. SAVED! (by the pop-up in my head)

OK, here are a couple straight from mounting. It was a bit grey and these were taken with a cell phone, but it's a start. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction, V3.2mc ... these are beautiful and really transform my ride.

Here are some shots from today. The car's not perfectly clean, but close. Also, those keen of eye can notice where some &%@! keyed me just above the rear wheel. This happened before I installed the 313's.
In the mean time, these look great. Admittedly, they'll look even better once I tire black up the Conti's - but I've been too busy driving during today's beautiful 60 degree day while those in the northeast are digging out of a blizzard! Last edited by TAL2GK; 02-09-2013 at 06:27 PM.. |

Finally - mounting the 313's has made my BMW OEM Style 104's available. I'll post them in the classifieds section as well, but here's a quick pic while I'm on a roll. These are 16" square setup and they're made by Ronal, same as my new 313's.
They're in great shape with only some minor scratches. |

TAL2GK, the 313s are great looking wheels, those and the oem Z4M wheels are two of my favorites.

Wow Tom, those look great! I'm planning on getting the Conti DWs when I do wheels later in the Spring. Are you planning to lower it too? I'm doing pretty much the same as you but with some APEX EC7s. I bought the springs but haven't installed them yet. Awesome to see another 2.5 getting some mod love.
Also, I wish a lifetime of burning urine to the person who keyed you. Not cool. |

Looks great! I can see where you got keyed. That hurts. What kind of jerk would do that? Did you get an estimate yet for the repair?

Doesn't look deliberate -- more like someone was carrying something and got too close to your car.
