How will a larger tire at the rear affect performance?

I'm looking at a newly used set of PSS for my ///M this summer. It's a good enough deal; however, it's 245/40-18 & 265/40-18.

I'm on stock suspension and the ideal size will be 245/40 & 275/35. Should I save a few bucks and try that used set?

What will the driving dynamic be like with a slightly larger rear?
How will the performance be affected?

These tires will be 40% track and 60% street. I imagine the butt will be taller and lose some front clearance?
