Not sure if you know this...but you only need this kit is you want chirp for key (lock/unlock) and alarm/siren.

The part number you listed has the tilt switch (very expensive).
Part # 65730302424 : Hood switch and siren
$42.08 from Tisher BMW

http://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/ind...&siteid=214672

This is exactly what I installed on my 2006 Z4 in under an hour.
Hope this helps,

These have been sold out practically forever. I purchased the siren off ebay - same part as used on a Mini. Look here for the part number in post #257 on page 12 - http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=389701

They are hard to find. I installed the motion sensor kit but was never able to get the motion sensor working despite coding, it is likely defective and the amount of effort (trim removal) required to install the motion sensor is ridiculous so it's staying as is.

The mini option is a good one. Once you know what the siren looks like you can find this specific style on eBay. You may also be able to buy the parts contained in the non-motion kit for under $100.

The used Mini siren on ebay was $35 shipped. Used OEM BMW sirens were near the $75 to $100 range for the same part. The Mini mounting bracket is different, however as in the thread link, I used a simple fabricated aluminum piece and drilled a few holes to secure.

After hearing about Ferrari's issues, I went the easy route and simply got the siren, so no interior sensors or pulling of panels for me.

Another option is to find a used siren and buy the bracket new from your BMW dealer for $14

Here are the part numbers to look for:
Siren: 65 75 6 942 431 or 65 75 6 940 677
Bracket (for Siren): 65 75 6 937 448
