Nope, you didn't miss it. The VT-1 does not have an intercooler. The VT-2 does and I'm sure we will see pics soon.

Right just got off the phone with my tuner........... The complete charger and all its bits are on the car!!! wikid news but............ simpson motorsport are awaiting software from ESS, so i need to get onto ess now to make sure they get the relevant software over to simpson!!! but the complete supercharger and all its related components are now installed, its just an ecu flash away from being mine, unless ess get the software to simpson by today i may have to re-shedule pickup which would be a disaster as all the pickup plans are in place.
come on ESS!! i need you guys!!! lol |

ok here we go!!!
well after alot of pain the car is finally back here with me fully done and wow. The car drives just like stock, but my god full revs are eye opening, the way back i encountered a stock e92 m3 and left it standing, you can imagine the grin on my face, my mpg is exactly the same as before, oil temps are exactly the same as before as the charger has its own oil supply so it not heating up the engine oil. Under the hood looks awesome, so neat, pure pornography, in the wet the car was breaking traction very easily, infact it was scary, in traffic conditions the car behaves perfectly. Their is little to no noise from the charger at low revs i can hear a slight whistle, at high revs all i can hear is huge induction raw sucking, it sounds freaking awesome, i can also hear the blow off valve with a gentle whhhhhooooooossshhhh!! 5th and 6th gear are much improved now, with a real hard pull. i cant give to much of a review as ive only done 100 miles, but let me tell you, the car now in a different league in terms of performance, only 1 big problem, the brakes will definatly need uprating, the ease in which the car now gets in 3 figures is stupid and the brakes just wont sustain this new performance, the car dyno'd at 455bhp!!!!!!!! ha ha ha ha lol!! :fuelfire: :fuelfire: :fuelfire: |

Boost should increase with rpm, so it should always be building more boost and pulling to red line.

i know exactly what im going to do.............. mod this to fit, by far the best solution. this is the HPF for the e46 m3 micky mouse gauge set, the key on the side swaps between different fuel maps ;-) im certain with little modding this can work, and imo looks much better than all the other option and even more so its cheaper. Bang.

Day 1 with the VT1-445
Well, I just got my Z4M Roadster back from the shop with the VT1-445 installed and I'm loving it. BeeDub was right, it drives like stock until you boot it at high rpms, then its scary. Besides performance, the only think that I notice is the whistling sound from the supercharger at the lower rpms, with the pitch increasing with rpms of course. It is quite audible with the roof down, but not annoying. I'll try to do a dyno run in a few weeks when I return from my travels.
