Well, I am here at the shop to check the pulley sizes. My belt is 40mm longer than yours, so there has to be different size pulleys than your kit.

My sc pulley is the correct size that you stated and they are over nighting the correct pulley and crank pulley today. Now it explains my 6psi. Thanks George for figuring this out. We may have never figured it out.

Quick question: how often do you guys clean your air filter with your ESS VT kit?
Mine needs to be clean almost every oil change (5000km in my case...) or almost every month/2 months. It's weird how my air filter get dirty way faster FI than NA. Maybe the pick up location has something to do with this. |

If its that bad, you could get the socks that they sell that go over the filter, so you could pull off and clean and put back on through the grill.
Mines new, so I haven't inspected it yet. Btw, are you keeping it? |

What is this filter cover you are talking about? Comes from ESS or generic? Maybe my limp mode were cause by the clogged filter the other day?? I will need to go back on the track to know for sure. I still want to sell the kit and go back to NA. When I purchased the car, I didn't planned to do that much track days but I am a track junkie I think I can do differents things to the car and do the same lap time at the track with less HP. My E46 M3 had 304whp and I was 4s faster at LCMT than my M Coupe... Car can be fun with headers and 4.10. I did a lot of DE/lapping in the past but I really prefer Time Attack. And now the SC kit bumps me in the unlimited class which required Nomex, rollbar/cage, race seat, harness, ... I prefer to detune the car a bit and participate to this serie next year and have fun! |
