I have the RAZR too, I like my old Nokias better the battery lasted about 5 times as long as the RAZR. But it links good with the Z and now I am hooked on the BLUE TOOTH in the Z4, it is so cool. Somebody calls and I see their name pop up on the NAV screen, no more groping for the phone, hands free ROCKS!!! (at least at speeds under 50 mph, anything faster and the wind starts takin over)

The RAZR definitely is a good phone, but the batteries run out quickly when you have the bluetooth on. I still have that issue though when I use the bluetooth in the car with the RAZR. Whenever I call out and no one picks up, the phone is just stuck. It doesn't go back to the radio and I can't seem to end the call no matter what I do. I have to turn off the phone bluetooth for the connection to end. Isn't that weird? Does anyone else have this problem?
Do you think it's the phone or the car? Has anyone updated the firmware on the RAZR? |

It runs my Moto battery down as well. I was going to get the adapter so it charged but I knew I was going to be changing phones so I didn't. The only problem I have is with the DICE ipod adapter...when it is playing the ipod playlist I can scroll through my phone book but the screen switches back to the song title within milleseconds and I have to keep pressing the steering wheel phone button to get to the name I want to call. It is a tricky manuever.
Did I tell you I want this iPhone yet?

Hey Ducks - gotta offer at least a little support here. I am not at all taken aback by your desire to grab an iPhone and would do it in a heartbeat if it weren't for my current commitment to my Verizon service.
I am not entirely displeased with what I am getting out of my Samsung SCH i730 running WM 5, but would dump it in a flash for something like the iPhone with my current provider. If AT&T had EVDO RevA I would be even willing to consider eating my Verizon service contract to make the jump. Sigh.....Oh well.

I did not. Who needs it? Really, I already have an iPod and I already have a telephone and I already have a laptop. So, who needs an iPhone, really....

I just got a blackberry 8300 last week to replace my palm treo 650. I hope it doesn't loop. I like it cause its very tiny....much smaller then the treo. Actually I haven't sync'd it with the bluetooth on the car yet. Rozie

People who travel a lot and don't quite need all the functions of a laptop, except web browsing will like it. I wish I would be out of my contract already. Last edited by Huncowboy; 09-09-2007 at 11:03 AM.. Reason: spelling... what else? |

I gave in and bought one yesterday after the recent $200 price cut. I've always been a "cellphone only" kinda guy, preferring small form factor over gadgetry or email capabilities.. no Crackberry addict I will ever become. That said, the iPhone is nothing short of incredible - more than lives up to the hype for me. The web is very useable, it connects via WiFi in my house and will on the road wherever there's free access, which negates the disadvantage of not offering 3G speeds. If I REALLY need to access some info on the web, EDGE will be a sufficient backup for the few times I might want to use it. Email works VERY well, and the display is just stunning for photos. I'm officially a convert.. and I think Jobs' price cut is going to reel in a lot more like me into the fold.

I love my iPhone, even at $600 I think it was a good buy. I use it all the time for the internet and maps. I also like how you can open Excel and Word documents that are attached to emails. I use that a lot as well. Hands free rocks.

Yeah, but running a Samsung processor and Windows Mobile, you will be lucky to get 2 hours standby out of it. I'll stick with my iPhone, Windows only works well with 3GHz+ processors and > 1GB RAM anyway.
