its not entirely black just the sills. The outer rim is chrome. Part #: 51117117757 LEFT
Part #: 51117117758 RIGHT $33 each at tischer. Again i painted mine 2 times and it chips. The second time from a body shop. Not sure what to do now. Scroll down and look at epbrowns car http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142151 thats the OEM Z4M grill |

Did you sand it down first, prime it, then paint, then clearcoat it?

I used tape 3500 miles ago and it looks perfect with most of my miles on the highway.
I have white coupe and the all black looks nice, but I wonder what alpine white with blacked out chrome surround would look. That White 3 series coupe with white/chrome is probably not enough contrast. If you are going to buy a black set paint yours white and see which you like better. |

Looks very... goth.
I'd recommend all black instead, IMHO. |

I'll vouch for the black grills that come with chrome surrounds. The M and pre 06 Z4s have them and and I think the combination is perfect. I'm not a fan of the all blacked out look. You can pick them up at bmwpartzdirect.com for like $70 with shipping.

Actually I think the 3.0si are the only ones without black sills. I just want my slats black and a silver ring around them for some contrast on my black car.
