Removed the mufflers and sanded them down and polished them. Then installed single walled 70mm tips. Pretty happy with the make over ! I love the big muffler housings and the way they hang below the car. It completes the rear end in my eyes.

I’ve been eyeing their tips but so damn expensive…. But this makes it more compelling

shipping is the real killer but still a good deal compared to $100 per tip I see other vendors carry

New race seats… with integrated OEM occupancy sensor and 3 stage heating element

Only reason I’ve not updated install thread I started is because my manual transmission decided to take a major dump, so been dealing with that for last 2.5+ weeks

2 working theories.

1. I have a factory freak s54 putting down 420whp (after headers and tune of course) and the demands of enduro racing was too much for stock gearbox OR

2. Unnoticeable leak in transmission which coincidentally ran empty by time i reached the track. Couldn’t find any gear and by time I pulled into the pits to investigate, way past overheated and there were metal shavings in the little fluid I had remaining.

Luckily I have access to spare ZF so using this time to replace clutch, guibo and trans mounts. Hope to have her back on track for next shakedown on 7/22.

Rather than refurb the soft black plastic, scored some BMW Individual pieces.

Looks great 👍 Do you know if those plastic pieces have to be M specific since the M wheel is fatter? Or would pieces from any e85/e86 work? I don't need to refurb mine just yet, but looking ahead for options. Thanks

The p/n is 32348035328; realoem doesn’t list the M model but I suspect it has more to do with it never being offered for the M. But I had no problem snapping the pieces together. Oddly enough, after purchasing these for what I thought was pretty cheap, Turner/ECS increased the price 50% so it’s now the same as the regular M trim. Part of the reason I went with this was because it was such a good value. Only add’l piece I had to source were the MFSW buttons in matching gray.

Multi function steering wheel, just the standard buttons to control radio and etc. On the M, trim piece that surrounds the buttons are all black.

The "Ruthenium" trim with black buttons actually looks decent.

Thanks I thought it’d give a nice contrast while still matching the gauge bezel

New?! That must’ve set you back….

Does auto dip require programming?

It was a bit much (1250) but it was now or never.

The auto dip is listed in the VO, and I do not know if the wiring is there if the car did not come with it. There is a dedicated conector for the auto dip. My car is a Canada car so it has auto dip and electric folding mirrors.

I am also getting new switches for the mirrors as some times both dont work. I hope it is the switch and not something else

You should put clear vinyl or something over the new trim so they don’t wear down again in few years
