Purchased 10-06. 7K miles. Never driven in the rain. Love the car. Merlot Red/Tan Top/Tan Interior. Have not seen another one this color. Added a Cold Air Pkg. and Schnitzer pedals, and front facia lip saver. Feedback on Upgrades to date: *Cold Air Intake sounds great, not sure it added any HP. *Schnitzer pedals look great, and easy to install. *Frant facia lip spoiler is a good idea. Have already done a Track Day @ Gingerman Raceway. Handles great, and w/DSC on you cannot get om trouble. Turn the DSC off, and you better know how to dirve. Looking for any feedback on upgrades done by others, and tech. tips. |

There's a "middle" DSC setting on the non-M models that I found to be very nice. It doesn't intrude as early with throttle cuts, and lets you drive the car harder while still having a nanny. Give it a try.

My understanding you can program that setting on an M as well. But yes its not available by default. I tried a lap without DSC couple weeks ago and quickly lost it in a corner and slid all over. Apparently I don't know how to drive yet Going to do the programming before next track day and give it a whirl

New-to-me 2006 Z4C 3.0Si MT
Hi All,
I recently joined the ranks of E85/E86 owners. My new-to-me Z4C is a Montego Blue 3.0Si with manual transmission and a little over 80K miles. I was looking for an E89, but I'm really happy with my Coupe. I only came across it because a good friend kept bugging me to look at E85 roadsters, and this E86 happened to get included in my search. I have E46 and E9X Bentley manuals and experience with the E46 and E88 chassis. I have BimmerGeeks Protools - but I've discovered Protools doesn't support the E85/E86 chassis. I guess I will be seeking help on how to diagnose and code with the raw tools.

Nice car! And rare. 800-ish manual coupes were made for North America. Looks like it has M Sport suspension too, a very nice thing. Congratulations!

For the unlearned (that would be me) does the Si designation quantify M Sport suspension?

Those wheels are the hint I'm going by in the case of this car. A VIN check would confirm. |

Hello, people!
Recent (as in, today) owner of a 2006 Z4 M Roadster. Reading the manual to figure out what all the buttons do, but pleased as punch to be an owner of such a fantastic vehicle. Here to learn. Glad to meet you all!

Shouldn't take long -- there aren't many buttons. The minimalist control setup is one of the things I love about the car; keeps the driver focused on the drive. Congratulations and welcome!
