Wheel Details:



Manufacturing process:
All APEX wheels are flow-formed resulting in a light weight, track and street worthy wheel
Flow-forming significantly reduces weight in the barrel by rolling the barrel out into it's final shape using large wheels/disks applying high pressure
This step is the same step that monoblock forged wheels go through to shape their barrels
By doing this, the flow-formed wheel's barrel has the same density and strength as a traditional forged wheel
This significantly reduces rotational mass at the furthest point from the center, which is the most important weight savings area on a wheel.

Strength:
These wheels are fully JWL/VIA certified. Strength testing was done by the VIA in Japan
Don't be fooled by competitors that claim to be certified, but cannot provide registration numbers
There are vendors on this forum selling wheels that are not certified, yet they claim they are. Scary stuff!

Discount Tiers
The price you pay at sign up is based on how many members are currently signed up for either 18" or 17" wheels
Normally enough members are already signed up on the unofficial name list, that pricing can be started above the first tier.
The 18" Group buy is starting payment on tier #2, while the 17" Group Buy is starting payment on tier #1
At the close of the Group Buy, everyone's order/payment will be adjusted accordingly if a higher discount tier is reached

Refunds
There are NO refunds on Group Buy orders. Group Buys are special order, which is why payment is taken in advance
Only replacement of defective, or mis-shipped products are available
Your are free to sell your place in line after the close date of the Group Buy

The $100 discount is off the set, and not each wheel. $400 off would be well under the manufacturing cost of the wheels. These wheels are already priced aggressively at their retail price. If they were produced in lower quantities, they'd have to be in the $400-500 range to be economical to produce.

or

sorry to be annoying but just to make sure how the level discount works since they are different amount of sets require for different levels

That's a good question. You split the difference, as each size is an independent group Buy, so your savings is $125. You're getting a $50 discount on the 8.5's ($100/2) and a $75 discount from the 10's ($150/2).

This is how we set things up in previous Group Buys and it works easier then it sounds. It's visually tricky to understand this time, as so many sizes are available from being listed on so many different forums. Normally we only offer a few sizes to a single forum, which makes it easier to write out.

There are many members who've shown interest but haven't signed the "unofficial" list on the other forums. They're waiting to see additional names, which only hurts the group buy, as it causes a cycle of waiting. This list is not an agreement to buy. If you think you're serious, and it's only the discount that is an issue for you, then sign the list so we can see what kind of discounts will be available.

Another note: Since this is the 9th or 10th group buy we've hosted, we've noticed that most people sign up in the last few days of payment, so early numbers are never an accurate prediction of who will participate.

These wheels are being sold at a discount before the driving/racing season begins for most members. After this Group Buy, the wheels will only be available at the regular price. So if you were considering them, now is a better time then any to join.

Agreed. They are strong and light. Got mad comps on them and you can feel the difference from stock as soon as you get going down the road. Next best mod to headers on the 2006 I ever did.

The wheels accept TPMS sensors. You could either purchase new sensors or move them from your original wheels. It really just depends on what you're using these for, and what you'll be doing with the old wheels.

*most people don't mount sensors onto wheels used for track use.

The ET22 version will not be part of the Group Buy as that container will only have a few units on board (could easily cause fulfillment issues during a group buy so we avoid it). We've only made it available to E9X m3 owners who purchase it as a front wheel (only a couple have done so).

As we get near the end of the Group Buy, I may be able to allow for additional members to sign up for the et22 version, but this is not a guarantee and will be based on availability.

yes a 9.5" et35 front will work with a 245/40/18 but you will need camber plates to do it. pulling the front mounting pins is not enough to guarantee a rub free fitment. If you're just running a street tire, you have the chance of this fitting without issue (that's were you're own personal testing would come in), but from our experience and from a functional stand point, this setup should only be achieved with camber plates which we carry.

You won't have an issue with your H&R springs. This just means if you were to get camber plates, they have to have an OEM upper spring perch (upgrade option on our plates)
