SS Race. I agree and sounds perfect too. Had an issue with UPS bending the tips but got them repaired and all worked out in the end!

when looking for an exhaust and now after having one i realize that video clips never did the real thing justice! Sound is deep and so much of an improvement over stock. Wish i had done it earlier and recommend anyone who hasnt to take the leap and go for it.

Damn. UPS totally wrecked one of my exhausts too, crushed the tips, tore off the hangers--it looked like a gorilla tossed it off a building after beating the hell out of it. And it shipped from 400 miles away....The shipper had to build me a second one.

I'm glad you were able to get those tips fixed.

Video clips never do tell you what it's going to sound like nor do they give you a sense of what it's really like in the cabin. The Z4M doesn't seem to have an overwhelming tendency to drone (unlike the E92 M3) so taking a leap here isn't as risky as with some other cars/engines.

I agree, video does not do this exhaust justice. Enjoy it, I've been enjoying mine since last summer.

mimsterzx7r, if you ever get up to Dallas I'd like to hear the exhaust in person. I could show you the spots to check out in Dallas as well.

Do the May 15th school. That's when all the Houston BMW CCA group is going up to support the CCA races that weekend.

Did you get the Xpipe with it? Mine is pretty loud and yeah it does drone with the xpipe but I really don't mind it so much.

Ditto on the pics. And, please, more comments on drone from in-cabin. I'm so reluctant to "take the leap" as you all have put it because I do not want drone issues at almost all costs. From just getting used to my Z4MC, I kind of thought that the exhaust might be prone to droning, just from the characteristics of the stock system a various RPM ranges - so it's interesting to me that there are folks that think it is less prone to it. Maybe it's all relative....unfortunately, relative is not good enough for me 'cause I really won't be happy with a system that drones...

I have spent a good amount of seat time in a Z4MC. (Toronto to Spartanburg & back)
OE car except the SS race cans.

The exhaust can definitely be heard in cabin , but I didn't find it objectionable at all.
I had the powerloops on my previous M roady & found them OK but wished they were a little more aggressive.

I'll be going with either the SS race/sport or RE Diablo this time.

Damn, been really wanting an exhaust again ever since I sold my RPI. How's the SS Race compare to an RPI?

Yeah, that's some time in the car, likely with plenty of time in the RPM ranges where maddening droning would occur. Don't get me wrong - I like a good exhaust note, but I can't stand droning and there definitely is a difference. So, in this ride that was stock except for the SS Race cans, droning was a non-issue?
