So what does stage 2 involve? Intercooler? Air-air or water-air? If I were to add forced induction to a normally aspirated engine I wouldn't want to do it without some form of intercooler.
Is stage 1 a DIY (assuming you have some modicum of skills and tools)? Stage 2? I know stage 3 won't be DIY. Thanks

Rom3n,
Are there any anecdotes of customers who have run a quarter mile or timed a 0-60 with any of the kits? If not, would you mind running one? Please? I'm interested, but want to know more (tangible info) about the product. Thanks! |

As far as 1/4 mile and 0-60, those times cannot be spec'd since it is so driver and setup dependent. You gotta realize this is a turns-first car ... IRS, no rear wheel travel for launching, etc
That said, it has the power to weight ratio to run a solid low 12 second quarter mile in the mid to high teens. It has some parasitic loss on the low end and centrifugal based blower setups aren't torque monsters, so I'd imagine that 0-60 isn't that greatly improved ...maybe low 4s if traction was excellent. |

For this reason, the super high horse power guys all use 60mph-130mph times using a VBOX to compare -- Has ESS performed any timings in this range?

Thats cool, we have good fuel and euro headers already.
It just shows that you could probably pull alot more power with larger headers and full exhaust.

This is a aussie dealer who can also flash our software in house.
http://www.worxauto.com.au/ We have not set pricing on VT2-500-550 yet as it is not scheduled for release until late December early january. VT1-450 will be available very soon and it will be $6,495 USD. |

Glad to see the prices on the new kits will be better than the current option and just as powerful. I for one will be interested in the VT2 kit. Do you offer some type of ecu map select switch so I could switch tunes from 100 octane to 91 octane?
Thanks, Dave |
