Need advice ! Looking to take the limiter off my 07 M coupe, Software recomendations?

I have a 2007 BMW M coupe. I want to take the limiter off. I spoke to a very knowledgeable gentleman to day form ESS Tuning. ( http://www.esstuning.com/default.asp?c=contact ) . He said he can re flash my DME which will eliminate the limiter and give me some more power. Does any one have any experience with this? Has anyone used the shark injector from Turner motor sports. THE only issue is that the shark injector from Turner is deignated on for the e46 m3.

Please post your recommendations and experiences,

Thank you very much

Mike

E46 uses a completely different ECU than the Z4M, you will want to check and make sure the SharkInjector is configured specifically for this model. Some upgrades from the E46 do cross over, however the ECU flash is not one of them.

The ESS reflash is great, I had it performed a few weeks ago and must say the throttle response and drivability is greatly improved. I've yet to test out the removed speed limiter or install headers to take advantage of the rear O2 sensor delete but expect to be further pleased with these upgrades.

I have the ESS reflash too, I really like it. I agree that the throttle is more responsive, and the whole car feels more alive. In addition to removing the top speed limiter, it increases the redline and self tunes to future modifications (except the CEL delete for headers you need to request this when reflashing your DME). If you do a search you will find a lot of positive reviews of the tune.

There is also a powerchip version too I think RPI backs it up, I've heard positive things about their upgrade as well. As far as I know these are the only 2 software reflashes for our DME.

Does anyone know how it "self tunes" when the stock mss70 ECU apparently cannot?
