i only offered the suggestion of min coverage if money was an issue. nothing wrong going with a used bike, as most have barely even been broken in and you're inevitably going to lose money on a new purchase. doubt you'd really keep that bike for the next 8 years or 40,000 miles :T almost all my bikes i've purchases were used and never had any probs. easily saved around 40% from msrp and was able to sell it back at cost. |

I a with ya Lana. I bought a used one as my first bike and had nothing but problems with it I just got my stabilizer on on Saturday so I have never actually ridden with one... big difference I take it? As dubbed said, the slightly used newer models, you can hardly ever go wrong with them as long as they still have the factory paint on them!
Sorry to hear about the job situation. I take it something turned up though since you are buying a new bike though! I don't think I would ride a motorcycle without medical insurance... waaaaay too many stupid drivers out there for that risk!

Very nice evoking... what is wrong with riding in loafers?!? Haha. I actually ride to sand volleyball in shorts and a sweatshirt usually so my car doesn't become a sandbox and my gear doesn't get stolen :|
oh and Diesel... LOVE the ducatti. There is a white 848 that parks by my bike at work actually.

+1 Evoking. Hawk, after getting more than my share of road rashes, I cringe at riding in less than helmet and full leathers! Oh...the DENIAL in riding unprotected! LOL

Nice Ducati and Aprilia. I may buy another Ducati when I get back to the States as a stable mate for my MV Agusta. I miss the sound and power delivery of the Ducati. I'll try to find a sweet 998S. I had a 916 and love the styling more than all that have replaced it.

And may I be the first to say "may you never experience going down!" But the fact is in35 years plus of riding bikes; it has been my experience that it is usually the other guy's fault. Defensive driving just reduces the chances of serious injuries if adequately protected. Hence my feelings about full leathers and helmet! Of course I may just be getting old and have lost that intoxicating illusion of immortality! LOL

Thanks Tapatio... I wear gear most of the time but not all of the time... but it's alright... I will still be immortal for a couple more years.
