I dunno, most people seem to think pulleys are a waste of money and can damage your car. I haven't formed an opinion.

I'm sure it does what it claims. I doubt you'll feel any difference though. You also reduce the life of the belt marginally and if you go to a dealer they'll know you did this mod if they try and fit the OEM belt. For that reason alone I would opt out.

Im not sure if its the same on our engine but in the celica world we never touched pulley since they threw off the harmonic dampening and caused oil pump failures which lead to fucked bearings and spun rods ect.

This I don't get, maybe it's the engineer in me, but the damping ratio from one pulley material to another can't be that different, especially since they're both made from elastic materials. Stiffness, and mass, definitely...but "harmonic" damping...show me what you're talking about. Is there a dashpot built in to the pulleys that come stock with the car, or is there some extra damping treatments added to them to help with vibration? Or does no-one really understand vibrations and just spout out crap they heard from someone else?

People that switched to the solid/aftermaket ones there was something like 60% of them had oil pump failure. I havnt had the Z long enough to know everything about the engine and parts yet but ill get there

It somewhat common to put a balance on the crank pulley of an engine, some cars it's on the pulley itself, some cars in the same location but not on the pulley itself (like the s54 making it OK to change).

If there isn't a dashpot on the pulley, for our cars anyway, then I think the argument doesn't hold up.

The Turner pulley's only replace the AC pulley and PS pulley. It does not replace the main crank pulley. Not dangerous at all. After the mod I can tell you that everything works like it should. I'm sure it would make a small diff on a dyno but not on the butt dyno. In all it to me is just part of the power adding package(headers, tune, pulleys). It was an easy install.
