racerbruce here (aka E93Seattle),
checking in mate - hoping you're well. such a long and winding road (thank you sir paul mccartney) you've been on to this point; we mortals can't imagine the to-do list for a project like this - it's overwhelming. we all await the Release The Beast and wish you well. racerbruce (E93Seattle) |

When discussing home renovations I had once jokingly said to the Mrs that we could open up our living room wall (which is our garage inner wall) and install French doors since she’s always wanted those for our office or something of the likes, so in winter months it’d make it easy to pull a car into the living room to work on. When I got that side eye look I started to get a bit more justifiable and used my uncle as an example working on his Harleys in the living room, but yeah no go it’s hilarious because there’s been plenty of days with car parts in the living room that comes back to haunt me.

Steering rack limiters.. 43mm long, 40mm diameter.. yeah it's a guess.. I've got enough derilin left to make a bunch more with 27mm bit for holing it out..
My last makeshift set were 39.. They rubbed.. I'll give this a go and if it's too much (If I were a betting man, and I am) I'll chop (uncle chop chop) 1mm off at the time untill it's perfect.. Yep it's all trail and error.. Read that as don't be an idiot and build your own car, shit takes ages.. Jokes.. Well whada ya know.. turns out the rhs rack arm isnt 27mm, like the lhs, but 28mm.. spent the last 30 mins honing out the rhs bush.. nice to know i guess...

Okay, huge couple of hours in today. Just finished my 2 day sim crap and was itching to get to the shop to put the dash in.. And sort the door cards..
Bunch of pics.. Soz about the size of em, I'll sort it laters. Pretty darn stoked with how that turned out Door cards are off to the paint shop and the elecs are getting hooked up over the next few days by EDS, they make looms and stuff.ive gone for a matt clear on the door cards, still has to have the door pulls put on and some suede around the door handle to stop scratches. Holy shit, i might actually have to dig out the floor foot trays i ordered about 4 years ago.. lololol..

Remind me again what shifter do you have? Did you also have to “massage” the transmission tunnel?
