Differential 3.0l vs 2.5l
I need a differential for my 2003 Z4 3.0l Automatic. Are the differentials in the 2.5l different than the 3.0l? I see that they have a different part number. I have tried searching this forum but have not come up with this particular answer. Thanks in advance.

Takes substantial mods. IE subrame etc.

Not only has the M diff different mounting points in the subframe, it also has different input and outputflanges, (which cant be swapped out) and the M driveshafts wont fit the non M trailing arms. Of course if you start off with a 5 speed or automatic, the M propshaft has the wrong lenght, so only a 3.0i/3.0si is really suitable for this conversion.
