z4 Door panel removal

Bavarian sound works video showing door panel removal steps in prep for speaker upgrade. I followed these steps to replace door switch mechanism. The plastic studs used as door clips are easy to bend/break, but they slide out for easy replacement. I recommend buying a few in you plan on pulling the door panel.

Which clips are you referring to? The ones on the top edge, or on the lower and front perimeter?

Is it possible to remove just the leather insert portion of the door panel as opposed to the entire door panel in order to paint/stain the leather piece?

Lower and front perimeter.
Lower are white, front are yellow.
Different lengths.
Buy 'em by the sack!

No, though it's possible to remove the leather insert panel once the door panel is off.

It's a pain, as you have cut/grind a few miles of plastic welding to remove that insert section.
