Dallas M Coupe. Anybody?
Has anybody checked this car out or know anything about it? Been on the market a while. I'm interested. http://www.streetsideclassics.com/ve...06-bmw-m-coupe |

Wow. Thanks for the post! It's amazing that this car now 4 years later and 20k more miles is selling for the same price. I guess they hold their value quite well. I should have bought one years ago, drove it for 20k miles and then sold it for the same price. Few cars do that these days!

Wow, a good example of how you must do your homework on a car before purchase.

I'm actually not sure this is all that bad of a car. Here are the bad:
1) The bumpers and hood were repainted. Possible fender bender? Not reflected in the carfax. 2) It was driven by perhaps a bunch of people in a dealer's exotic rental fleet. Not certain how many or if this is 100% verifiable. 3) No earlier records of maintenance Here are the good: 1) immaculate interior 2) compression test is very solid 3) ppi passed with flying colors 4) already has an RPI exhaust Are those that terrible? For a car with 90k miles? Especially for a driver/track car. Maybe I missed something. Lemme know. |

The RPI is worth 800$ used based on 2 different sales in the last 3 weeks right here in the classifieds. So that is what item 4 is worth. IMO, the bad seems to outweigh the good at the list price. At 20.5k is where I would consider it. Keep in mind you need to pay to get the car out here. That's 2k miles away.

Yeah, I don't think it's a bad car at the right price but it's priced quite a bit north of what I'd be comfortable with given its history and mileage.

I know it's an M coupe but still - who in their right mind would get an 8-year note on a 10-year old car?
