**Newbie** My IMOLA RED 2006 BMW Z4M
Hi Everyone,
I came across this site the other day and have not really involved myself in any communities regarding the Z4M. Looking to get involved here and hopefully you all can help me transform my car. Any advice is appreciated. Right now I'm looking to add an exhaust and possibly a Gruppe M filter assembly. Anyone have experience with these areas? great colour!
how can you find it at 2460 miles? It's 2006 model car. I think pre-owner only hold it in his garage. my coupe is 2007 model and I bought it when its 48000 miles. |

Yes it was garaged for the extent to which the past owner had it. The car has never seen the rain or snow.

Very nice! Great color combo!
Score on the mileage! Was it driven occasionally or just sit there?

It was driven on the weekends and some weekdays to a local coffee shop and lunch spot. Other than that it saw little to no use. The owner had it on a battery tender and in a heated garage for as long as he owned it. I've owned the car for about 2 years now. |

Wow. How pristine either way! Congrats! I just got mine - just posted as well. I love the Red/Tan - its what my color combo is on my E90.

First congratulations, and great find!
When was the last time fluids in the car were changed? If they're the original fluids, you might want to change the oil, brake fluid, probably transmission and differential fluids as well. The Rogue exhaust has a lot of drone. It sounds really great from the outside, but it can kind of drive you crazy on the interior. That's the case with many of the exhaust systems available for the Z4M. We have quite a bit of quantitative data on this. Please see the following threads, with data sheets, and videos. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthre...hlight=Exhaust |

I've had the fluids changed every year since I've owned it (going on year 3 now). I haven't done much to it but hope to be able to customize it some this year. I will check out that link you mention of. Thanks for the help! |

The exhaust side is spoken for and all I can say is that there's a considerable amount of deliberation that has gone through my mind in choosing which is appropriate. Rogue Engineering was my first stop as well (hearing the youtube videos and so on) and then I realized that it may not be exactly what I was looking for.
As for the intake, I've installed the aFe on my personal MC and I can't get enough of it. It's a world of difference and a solid starting place if you're looking to get more sound out of your Z. Also a very simple DIY project if you're up to it. Gruppe M is something I haven't heard in person but the aFe is something I can attest to personally. OH and welcome |

The scratch/scuff seems to be really deep under the clear.....I dont think detailing would resolve this nor would I want to try given how much this cost.
