Just got it install today. I upgraded to motorsport bolts for engine mount bracket too. The driver side is PIA. Took me most of the day going though underneath the car.
Love this mod. Just like others commented here. I tested 1st>2nd after warming up the car. I didn't get any grind at 6k or 7k. You can definitely shift faster 1sr>2nd. I only drove it for about 15 miles but will update if any changes. |

^ I agree about the intake removal method.
With the intake off its a piece of cake to get to the bolts. I was reluctant to remove it at first, but its actually very straight forward. How to posted here.... http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=730201

Contrary to what TIS says, those intake clamps are not "one time use." At least according to the manufacturer. I've had mine off and replaced 3 different times in the last month, and my clamps are all still in good condition. I know some members think this is wrong and I'm not trying to start a debate. |

I use needle nosed pliers and a screwdriver just like in Intgr8r's thread above. I take them off just as in the linked picture. To put them back on, I found it is easier to position the needle nosed pliers like the removal pic. Then I use the screwdriver on top to push the clamp back in place.

Just got mine installed yesterday, great mod for sure. Engine seems more responsive in low gears, like beta said, more linear response when getting on and off the gas.
Turns out my mount on the right side was torn, so putting these in actually decreased the vibrations I was having. Very happy with this mod and it's only been one day. I'll update again after a track day or two and a couple months of driving. |
