Z4MC Drive Shaft Removal

Has anyone removed their drive shaft themselves?

I have looked at the TIS and it looks pretty straight forward. Just wondering if there were any gatcha's, tips or things I need to look out for.

I searched through 10 pages of posts but did not see anything.

No CF. CF drive shafts have some issues I don't want to deal with.

Not a Guibo replacement, but if I drop the shaft then I will be inspecting the Guibo..

I really only plan on dropping the front part of the shaft. Not all the way, but to gain some room. I do know that I do not want to let it (drive shaft) rest on the center bearing so I will have to support that section.
