I know what you mean. I bought that special DuPont coating from the BMW dealership because they said they would also polish the car and get the swirls out but they didn't. Looks like they just applied the coating. I'm just going to live with it for another year. @OTDetailer What pad and polish do you use for minor correction? I've seen 3 of your vids and "like" you on Facebook. Great work!

for minor correction I always have luck with Uber green pads and Menz powerfinish, but each paint is different..some are harder than others. Like the black Z4M I'm doing with Meg D300 + Meg MF pads.

I heard BMW paint seems to be harder than others. I'll have to try Meg D300 and Meg MF on my Z4 - only if I have good results when I experiment on my Civic and old Jeep Cherokee. Thanks for the tip!

Like I said, I always have luck with Menz powerfinish, too bad the new version is rated at 2500 grit, compared to last year's 2000 grit. I like powerfinish because its a diminishing polish...starts aggressive and finish like a polish. hope this helps |

+1 on wishing you were local...No one takes pride in their work anymore.
BTW if you dont mind me asking, how can I tell if I have the new or old Power finish. Ive tried using mine with an orange LCC pad, and I cant seem to get anywhere on a few scratches. I know its mostly prep and technique, but I am curious as to if I have the new or old formula... Thanks! |

another Z4M roadster detail, It was a minor paint correction, goal was to remove 50+% paint defect. I also did a convertible top treatment ( not shown in video ). Owner provide the 303 Fabric convertible kit. Very easy to use...Rinse top> spray cleaner > scrub with a horse hair brush > Rinse > air dried ( can use a wet vacuum if you have one )> then apply the protectant and rub it in with a MF towel. water now just runs off the top very cool.
Client was very happy, he said it's the best gift he given himself in a long time. He was a awesome guy, just like all the Z4m owners I encounter. anyways here's a video |

Another great job done . Too bad for us here in the Northeast that you're moving to Cali haha. I'd love to get my car detailed by you but unfortunately I'm going through some tough times right now so I can't. How much longer will you be in our area for?

Franki, I've enjoyed your videos and thank you for sharing your wisdom with me here and on your FB page. Are you opening up a detail shop in Cali?

Franki, another awesome video on the blue roadster.... good luck with the move and make sure you come back once in a while... we wont stop driving and getting dirty!
Maybe one of these days you will have that shop if thats what you want. You certainly have the work and passion to back it up.
