This is a Pre-order Group Buy. Wheels do not ship the day after making payment like a traditional order
All orders should ship by February 13th, many will ship before the 13th
Some of these wheels are currently in production and scheduled to arrive at our facility the first week of Feb
We will ship those out within 3 business days of container arrival
Customs/Port delays can add an extra 1 week delay, but its rare
We cannot guarantee an exact ETA date. Our estimates have historically been conservative and within +/- one week of our ETA date
We will keep everyone up to date of even minor changes if they occur via this thread

Finish Availability
Finish availability will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis
Members will now have the option to select between 3 choices at checkout regarding their finish choice

#1 Only accept the original finish choice
If it's out of stock, the order will be automatically cancelled at the close of the Group Buy

#2 Select an alternative finish choice
If the first choice is no longer available, the order will be adjusted to the secondary finish choice
If the secondary choice is also unavailable, the order will automatically be cancelled
If for any reason you don't care what finish you get, please note that in the comment field at checkout
We will determine adjustments at the close of the group buy based on one of two methods
If the max tier is reached, then any finish adjustments needed would be based solely on order of payment received
If the max tier is not reached, then orders will be adjusted in a way to maximize the number of participants, thus reaching the highest tier possible for the group as a whole
In this second scenario, priority will be allocated to members ordering staggered setups of a low availability finish, in order to create the most sets possible

#3 The option to wait until the first finish choice is back in stock
If there is enough inventory, wheels would ship right away to these customers
If it is out of stock, then the order will be back-ordered
We have another huge batch of wheels that is almost complete, and they will be arriving in March
Members who select this option will lock in their discount pricing and are guaranteed to receive their first finish choice
This is ideal for those who can wait if needed, and are unwilling pick an alternative finish
In previous Group Buys, all members would wait 4-6 weeks after the close date of the Group Buy to receive their wheels, so this format is not new
We are looking at the same exact time line for the next large shipment arrival, and we'll have a much more accurate ETA date in a few weeks, so there will be no surprises

How do I join? Payments and Sign-up info

Discount Tiers
The price you pay at sign up is based on how many members are currently signed up

Refunds

Wheel Details:

Manufacturing process:
All APEX wheels are flow-formed resulting in a light weight, track and street worthy wheel
Flow-forming significantly reduces weight in the barrel by rolling the barrel out into it's final shape using large wheels/disks applying high pressure
This step is the same step that monoblock forged wheels go through to shape their barrels
By doing this, the flow-formed wheel's barrel has the same density and strength as the barrel of a fully forged wheel
This significantly reduces rotational mass at the furthest point from the center, which is the most important weight savings area on a wheel.

Strength:
These wheels are fully JWL/VIA certified. Strength testing was done by the VIA in Japan
Don't be fooled by competitors that claim to be certified, but cannot provide registration numbers
There are vendors on this forum selling wheels that are not certified, yet they claim they are. Scary stuff!

The 18x9 for front and 18x10 for rear is probably the most popular, since those won't rub and don't require spacers or negative camber.

I would say 18x8.5 et 38 and 18x9.5 et 22. You probably want 245 front and 275 rear tires to have no rubbing and 99% of manufactures would suggest 8.5 for 245 and 9.5 for 275.

baldtyresid really like to jump on these sizes for the z4m.... are you sure these wont rub?? what tyre sizes are you thinking of running?? im am slightly concerned as i have a BBK, BUT im guessing the extra width will give me that space without having a physically lower offset if you get me...

also OP im in the UK??? how much willing shipping run me?? and will i be able to get a discount on the actual wheels alittle further to offset some of the shipping costs, as im guessing you wont ship internation for free, or am i wrong!! drop me a pm if you prefur.

It was rubbing with the 18x10" because he had lowered the car, should be okay if you are stock. However I would also be more happier about the 9.5" ET22 in rear just because it's 1.1lbs lighter and fits better.

Nope, that setup will not work with a stock Z4M. The front is waaaay to wide. Like already said the 18x9.5 et22 would be ideal for Z4M rear but not front. Anything above 9" in front is no brainer.

So, as that post shows, yes, you will probably experience a little rubbing if you lower your car and run it on the track.

Here's some quotes from paintpro21 about these wheels, which is the info I was going off of:

18x8.5" et38 wheels fit up front with great ease and either 235/40/18's or 245/40/18's.

18x9.0" et42 wheels also fit up front without the need for a spacer with 245/40/18 tires summer tires.
255/35/18 tires can be run on this size wheel, but a spacer may be needed.
Negative camber and spacers may be required depending on the 255 tire run as r-compounds and extreme summer tires can run wide.

18x9.5" et35 & et22 two offsets available, both work well, but the new et22 offset is the best fit.
They can be run with either 265/35/18 or 275/35/18 street tires or r-compounds.
The 9.5" et35 wheel can also be used up front with 245/35/18's or 255/35/18's with added negative camber.

18x10" et25 fit the rear with 275/35/18's with ease on stock and lowered cars.
R-compounds may have slight rubbing on the inner rear fender liner material.
This is a foam sound deadening material that can easily be trimmed or ignored.

I run -2.5 camber in the front. Not a stock setup. Going to run the 18x9.5 with 265 square r-compound tires for autoX. Yeah!

18x8.5" ET38 is the easiest front fitment as it's the most conservative. Few BMW models can fit an 18x9" wheel up front that is direct fitment, but the Z4M is one of them. 18x9" ET42 will fit up front with a 245/40/18. For that reason, we recommend the 9" fronts as it's an ideal fitment.

In the rear 18x9.5" ET35, 18x9.5" ET22 and 18x10" ET25 fit. There are pictures on this forum all 3 wheel sizes mounted on the rear of the car.

18x10" ET25 is ideal for the rear as it can fit with a 275/35/18, but you could also mount a 265/35/18 or 265/40/18 back there. The slight stretch on the 265's would match that of the 245's on the 9's aesthetically, and that would improve the rear fender clearance. The stock rear tire size is tall, so a 275/35 or 265/40 works well with that, and the 10" wheels provide the proper sidewall support needed for those widths.

That combination would be mounted the opposite way (ET35 front and ET22 rear) as the perfect spacer free square setup. But 18x9.5" ET35 will not fit up front on a stock Z4M. Negative camber will be needed.

Here's an 18x9.5" ET35 square setup (I'm not sure if rear spacers were used, it does not appear so). This car is using 265/35/18 Michelin Pilot cups all around. This is the ideal track setup for a modified suspension as it is the same setup that most E46 M3 guys use. And the Z4m and E46 M3 are very similar. By running ET35 front and rear, you can rotate, which significantly saves on tire life.

The 18x9's will clear your BBK better than the 18x8.5's would. If you have a BBK installed on your car, then you should be going with conservative wheels. You should be running a wheel/tire package that is aggressive as you can go without issue. If you squeeze the same tire sizes onto narrower wheels, you are actually narrowing the contact patch due to tire ballooning, which also results in sloppier transitional response. 245's and 255's belong on a 9" rim for performance applications. What the manufacturer does is not a good reference source.

Because of your rear fitment concern, for your specific application I would run the following:

18x9" ET42 with 245/40/18
18x10" ET25 with 265/40/18 or 265/35/18 rear

If it was my car, I would run 275/35/18's
