I'm interested in what Tony has to say on the longevity. 'Kitty's have about 6/32 left after 9K miles and two track days (granted she wasn't thrashing them the first couple of times out).

They still look pretty newish. Camber adjustment in the front certainly helps. I'll keep you posted

I was at Tremblant (LCMT) yesterday. Tires are doing very well. Brakes are holding up. I am at 50% after limited daily driving and 4 track days. I am still on OEM brakes. Next up will be HT10.

I shot a few videos, still going through them. I will probably post one up soon.

Next stop Calabogie in 2 weeks time

After the 3 "Hot as Hell" days of HPDE at Calabogie, with new brake pads (HP Plus) and my dunlops that are now showing signs of slight wear on the outer sides of the front tires... I must say I enjoyed the balance of my car.
I have decided to go ahead and purchase another set of Dunlops. The ones I have have 7 days of track and are still good for another 2 or maybe even 4. I will install the new ones when they will be toast.

Thanks for posting the videos Tony!

Looks like a lot of fun, and it's great to see other tracks. It also looks like you're moving!

Checked my Dunlops this morning... still a lot of life left in them. Should be able to do 9 track days total with them... maybe even more.

Watkins Glen with Pheonix CMR.

I had a blast these two last days. Nice to meet new friends and see old ones.
I had quite a spin in the 3rd session today. I will need to view and then post video.
I love all the non-mods I did to this car. Simply awesome on track. Dunlops are still the bomb. Until I can bring dedicated Rcomps... I will stick to the Starspecs.
Next year, this track is a must on my calendar. Now off to the shower... dinner later.

Non-mods as in not much needed to enjoy the car on the track Tony?

You're totally hooked on track days! Well, so am I. It's been a month since my last one (work), and the withdrawl pains are becoming progressively worse. I've got to get some days on the calendar soon.

Can't wait to see your video!

well the car is pretty much stock. SS brake lines, HP+ pads, camber kit ...
all my $$$ is going in proper instruction.
This car can be a beast on track. Still on street tires, albeit dunlops direzzas, and it doesn't give an inch to others with Hoosiers.

if work doesn't give you enough time for track, then you need to reconsider your priorities.

Yup... I think they were both at fault... too late passing on a car that didn't seem to want to let him pass even if he did do the point-by...

Anyways I was far behind .. so what do I know...

It is called 'Common Sense'. There are many times I wave off the point-by if I don't feel comfortable..

Well my car is practically stock. Still not running Rcomps either. If I had the room to transport them, I would gradually start using them. But the Dunlops are still a very good alternative.

The car gives me a lot of feedback through the seat of my pants and steering. So I feel one with the car... Corny, I know...

What I want to do is get a couple of racing seats... need to do a and look at what others have done with the M Coupé.

Exactly, and zooming by someone at the turn-in ain't bright, particularly in that part of the track.

Smack in the middle of a 2 day HPDE event at LCMT (Tremblant). Very slippery conditions on first session of yesterday. The rest went really well.
Progress is at a stand-still. But everything is becoming second nature... going through the process.
I am still enjoying my time out there.
Question now is what to do next. Racing licence? Instructor licence?

Little follow-up... I have decided on two things.
First as of next season I will go get my Instructors certificate/license ... I will most probably do this with BMW CC
Secondly, the trailer dilemma. Either my car is being carried or my car is pulling...
Answer: None.

I won't go any of these routes in 2012. I will just enjoy the car with the great Dirrezzas as I have done before.
