Top Gear Z4M
So the episode that features the Z4M roadster vs. the Boxter S finally came on TV today. I've seen it several times in the internet but never actually saw the show in which it appeared. However, I was disappointed that they did not show the track test like they do on all of the other cars they test. I know they did the test because the time of 1:26.0 is always on the board (not a bad time). But why didn't they show the stig doing the lap?

The 1:26 time is impressive because it was with the factory Conti tires (and I read/heard somewhere this lap was done in the rain?)

Yes, that's the one and your link actually had the track lap whereas the episode on TV did not. Thanks Huz for posting the link so we could see it. The links I'd seen on YouTube in the past did not have the timed lap either.

I feel for all you snow bound souls. Not to torture you all but...it's about 70 and sunny here in Oakland this weekend. Drove the M to work this week, had a nice drive last week, and will be going out Monday for a long drive along the coast.
Hang in there guys, spring will be here soon. |

Normally, I don't have snow issues here in Oklahoma except for a few days a year--and then it's gone shortly thereafter. However, we've had some huge snow storms in the last week and we have about 20+ inches of snow on the ground. The closest I've been to the M in the last week is hooking up the battery charger. Weather forecasters are saying we could have snow on the ground for the next 3 WEEKS. What the hell happened to global warming?

On a snowy Canadian afternoon like it is here today, I like to watch this video:
This is the original Hammond Top Gear review of the 2003 Z4 3.0i. As I watch the snow swirling about outside, this video gives me 4 minutes and 54 seconds of pure escape into a world of top down driving on nice roads on a sunny day.
