VMR 718s in Hyper Silver

Here are my VMR 718s in Hyper Silver. 18 inch rims with Michelin Pilot Super Sports: 225 40 ZR18 front and 255 35 ZR18 rear. I'm totally delighted with them. They have a very concave profile which I really like and the spokes extend near the edge of the rim. When compared to my previous OEM 108 rims, they almost look like a 19 inch rim.

Thanks to Brandon and Matt at VMR for all the help with these!

Thanks All! Sleepyro, the offsets are 35mm on the front and 45mm on the rear. I've just confirmed that with Brandon at Velocity Motoring. By the way, I received awesome service and help from Brandon and team when I was ordering these - highly recommended!

Thanks MetMan and MZHammer!

I'm totally loving these rims on the car. And the new Michelin PSS's are a treat in terms of ride and quietness. I don't think though that my pictures are really capturing just how nice these rims look on the car; in person, they really draw your eye and are very aggressive looking owing to the deep dish style of the 718. I'll keep monkeying with various camera settings and lighting conditions to see what I can do there.

Happy long weekend by the way.

Not sure how I missed this.

The wheels look great, nice change from the 108s & the colour works perfectly with the blue.

Thanks man, looks great! Have you thought about lowering it? Does it have sport suspension?

Why did you decide against 19s? I've been trying to figure this out for a while.

Thanks Rich!

My car has the M sport suspension so its already a bit lower than cars without the M sport set up. I didn't want to go any lower but a buddy of mine with the same car lowered his anyway.

19 inch rims will look awesome but you will end up using a tire with less sidewall to absorb pavement toughness and pothole hits. So if the roads in your area are in great shape 19s should be okay. But if they are in rough shape the 18s may be a better choice. The roads here are BAD so I stayed with the 18s. Also, the 718 rim has a very long spoke so it almost looks like a 19, so best of both worlds for me.

And if you go with VMR, Brandon and Matt can talk to all these things too.

Have a great day!

I had to stop by the local dealer yesterday to pick up a small trim bit for the interior. The tech and the parts man offered to install it for me and both totally loved the 718s!

Already did. They are very reasonably priced. Trying to decide between hyper silver or the Gun Metal. Our car is black.

Great news! Be sure to post some photos when you get them installed. I think either set will look great on your car!

OP can you post a pic of a full profile side shot of the car, not angled? I'm looking at deciding between a couple of options.

How's this? Its not a perfect side profile but it was readily available on the old iPhone. I can snap another if need be.

By the way, these rims do accommodate BMW center caps with no issues at all. Although the VMR center caps are a very high quality cap, just as good as BMW or perhaps even a little better, I prefer the look of the BMW roundel. I currently have BMW caps on the driver side. The VMR caps fit very snug and won't pop out on the passenger side, and I don't want to take the rims off just to install BMW caps. BMW does make a very nice sticker for center caps; maybe I'll just buy a couple for the passenger side.
