07 Sepang/Sepang M Coupe in my garage - NEW PICS

I am sitting here somewhat baffled....

I sold my 05 X5 4.8is a couple weeks ago and have been renting a car trying to figure out what to get next. The story goes...I had nearly given up on selling the X5 based on it liking to drink premium like I drink adult beverage. Out of the blue a buyer appeared and I had cash in my account same day. Next day the flatbed came and my X5 was gone. Avis had a lovely white Grand Marquis I drove for a week while I was looking.

I was toying with replacing my original 03 M3 with an 06 version (love that S54) when I came upon the thought of enjoying an S54 in a different body. Unsure of what to get I thought a short lease (~12mo) assumption would make sense. A quick glance on leasetrader and swapalease and I had found it....a 2007 M Coupe in Sepang Bronze with a light Sepang interior and wood w/ 6k miles (14K to go)....for 492 a month with 13 months remaining. The owner was looking to get 2500 of his 5000 down payment back. He also was looking for 2500 for his 20" OZ wheels in flat black. In the end, he kept his wheels and put the OEM back on for me with 500 miles on them. I paid him nothing out of pocket and I picked the car up on Sat. He even let me have the car before the transfer was complete (we made up a short liability contract) and he met me half way. He was a really good guy.

So, here I am with a bad-ass, surprisingly awesome color'd M Coupe in my garage for less than $500 a month with nothing out of pocket...and like I said, I am somewhat baffled that it happened so fast.

I took this pick when got it home and parked and will clean it up and take some more in the next couple days.

Thanks for all the info on your forum...

Thanks for the nice words guys/gals...more pix to come this weekend.

I was very hesitant and a bit nervous having agreed to take the car sight unseen and having never paid much attention to the color. I am thrilled with the color. My last three cars were Ti Silver, Silver Grey, Ti Silver so it is nice to step out of my comfort zone a little. It looks a little like sterling silver with more brown...The jury is still our on light colored interiors, but I think they go nice together. There certainly isnt alot of interior so the light leather is not overwhelming to me.

I am still wondering if I should have taken the Wheels. They were 20" OZ ultraleggera HLT with Nittos...Midgrade wheel and tire package. They looked good, but the cost didnt make sense for 12 months as I do not plan on keeping the car after the lease is up. He still has them and I could get them for a great price. What do you think they are worth?

Thanks,

Tom

you sure? I thought people were using 20" without issues. Anyone else chime in?

what? dont listen to this guy. 20s wont rub they will just look horrible. some guys run 20s and they dont rub as long as the offsets are right and the car isnt slammed. IMO 18s are big enough for these cars. if you think 19s are better then go for but stay away from 20s for the following reasons.

1.horrible ride quality
2. expensive tires
3. did i metion it looks dumb and totally kills the reason the Z4Ms were designed for...performance

20" OZ Ultrraleggara

Thanks again for comments. I will have more pix this weekend. I am attaching a picture of the 20" wheels to see what you guys think. I did not wind up getting them, but i do think they look surprisingly good, but practical they are not. The roads in San Diego would have them all bent in a week.

I love the wheels, but 20's are just too big.
Get those in 18's or 19 max.

Very nice. I think the 20's look too big. I have 19" CSLs on my Sepang coupe and the ride is very firm and choppy

Congrats- love the color combo. I agree with the skip on the wheels. However, the flat black wheels look great on Sepang. If you want wheels check out the CSL reps in black 18-19.

That's an extremely gorgeous colour!
It makes the Z4 even MORE exotic!!

I really love it! But not as much as I love my Alpine White!
