Alright i need some help out. I am going to be buying some new wheels and having them custom painted how i want. I was thinking either a flat or satin black center, with a gloss black lip. BTW i have a white m coupe. Please help me out with suggestions.

I like the Infinity hyper-silver or even a gunmetal, but I wouldn't do the lip differently unless it's merely a bling wheel.

I like your color choices, but I would add a color stripe around the outside of the wheel, either white or red.

Some might consider this ricey, but I like how the stripe seperates the black of the rim, from the black of the wheel.

i absolutely love magnesium blue.. im just afraid about other people critizing me and calling it rice and stuff. Even though i understand its what i like that matters, it just wouldn't be to enjoying going everywhere with people callin it rice or stare like why did i do that. I personally think that color looks sick as hell on a white car.

The most trendy (not necessary everyone's cup of tea) is show the spokes not the rim. Exactly the opposite when everyone is doing black/dark spokes and chorme/polish rim or all dark/black. The design of the wheel is vanished if all black is chosen unless look upon closely or spotless at all times.

I'm planning on silver/polish spokes and gloss/matte black rims. The wheels will suddenly give one a floating effect since the black circumference blend in with the tires. It show case the spoke design much better. In this picture, it's carbon fiber instead of black... Same concept, different price. My dream set of wheels one day.

That's an interesting thought, gloss on the lip and satin in the middle...where did you think of that, do you have any pictures as examples? My imagination isn't working as well as it usually does otherwise I wouldn't ask for a photo.

As far as your fears on the mag blue...it's your car, who cares what people think, if you dig the color combo, then do it, you didn't buy the car for them, you bought it for you! I agree with you I think that combo is sick and I don't consider it to be "rice" at all.

Personally I would do a dark bronze on an all white...almost like the bronze you see on the Rota Grid wheels.

um i have seen it on some custom forged wheels. I opted to do all gloss black and i might through a time attack on their when i get it. as for the magnesium blue.. I understand its my car, but i would be criticzed by people who dont understand, and to be honest there is only so much you can take. Im sure i will do it someday, but ill do it when i get volks. and i dont consider that rice but when ricers paint their hubcaps crazy color it gives the appearance of other colored wheels a rice look to the untrained eye.
