Michelin Pilot Alpin vs. Michelin Primacy Alpin?
Hello guys, I fitted my si with 17 inch 225 Primacy Alpin tires for this winter and they feel great and have great traction in both dry and wet. However, this weekend I test drove the 1 Series M Coupe fitted with Michelin Pilot Alpin. It felt like they had a lot more traction in wet and dry than the Primacy Alpin. I am sure the M Drive Mode might be partially responsible for this but it felt like they handled aggressive acceleration better.
So my question is, does anyone know what is the difference between the two because they seem to be priced more or less the same?

Alpin Primacy are general snow tires while Alpin Pilot are more for dry/wet cold weather rather than snow while having better handling performance and better stability at higher speeds. I went for Alpin Pilot because I drive my M Coupe mostly in dry cold weather at highways, however I went for the 240kmh speed rating even tho 270kmh was for the same price just because I wanted limit myself in winter

Hehe, thanks, so I have made the better choice going with the Alpin Primacy. Mine have a 210kmh speed rating but that is ok since I am not going to drive faster in the winter. They do perform amazingly well in snow, even in deep snow.
