The hub and bearing are purchased as one assembly. They test the hub by turning the hub and measuring runout, similar to how they test the rotors. It seems to me though because the hub is so much smaller than the brake rotors, the amount of runout is more significant at the hub than a similar amount on the end of the rotors.
