^Interesting thought. That rear piece is really easy to take off.

FWIW, the process to access the floor only (what I covered in the pics above) is

1) Remove battery cover
2) Remove each taillight cover by turning the thing, they just pop out
3) Remove 4 screws to remove center plastic piece
4) Take out "lower" carpetboard (it's possible to get this out without taking out the rear plastic parts, but I tucked the dynamat underneath the side carpeting and removing these pieces makes it much easier and literally takes 2 minutes)
5) Remove interior plug sitting vertically on the driver's side for the carpet on the "upper" part of the trunk to pull back that carpeting (don't need to fully remove)

To get to these pieces takes only a few minutes. Like I said I've had the entire trunk out before, and to get around the sides is a little more involved, and since behind those pieces surround your rear shock towers is foam from the factory anyway, I'm not sure how much benefit you'd get from getting it in there.
