First try shifting first to second by slamming it straight back as fast as you can from 1st to 2nd under hard acceleration. If you have resistance/grinding, try it again but this time pull as far left as you can when doing it and see if the behavior improves.
In my gearbox, the shifting back & left doesn't even work without a small pause. maybe i should check if my clutch needs bleeding ?
