I had the 5% taller profile tires mounted and I did a speed check today on the highway. It looks like the speedometer is between 0 and 1% under-reporting compared to GPS.
Speedometer: 70mph
GPS: 31.3 - 31.6m/s = 70.0 - 70.7mph
It looks like there should be enough room to move the wheels out flush without rubbing. Hopefully someone who's converted to the stock M size tires can comment.
