Yeah, unfortunately Zpost is the redheaded stepchild of the Bimmerpost forums; plus Michigan just doesn't seem to have a strong presence on the BMW forums to begin with.
Good call on keeping the M. In another month or so you'll get behind the wheel and realize you made the right choice - that's what I keep telling myself as I make the payments all winter
I just moved back to Michigan (spent the past 3 years in sunny Arizona), and know James and Beau (from E90post) from before I left... so I'm down to get back in the local scene. Trust me, in another month or so I'll be pushing to get a meet going; and would like to initiate something like Cars&Coffee here in Metro-Detroit.
We need a monthly Euro car meet in the spring/summer/fall!
