While on the subject of the stuff in our tires, I'm reminded of a funny family story.

My Dad and his mother-in-law (my G'ma "Tessie") were never "thrilled" with each other. My G'ma was one tough cookie. She always knew how to push your button, just a very critical and annoying person most of the time.
Dad must have really loved my Mom, because he often had Tess in the car and she just couldn't shut up.

My Dad told me he once broke down on a Sunday, in bumper-to-bumper traffic on they way to some family function for my Mom that he in no way wanted to go to...and Tessie was in the car. Dad had the hood open, the distributor cap off and he was gettin' all hot and dirty (oh yeah, this was during Summer). Frustrated, he sits in the car to cool down and get out of the sun. Grandma Tessie leans in and says "did you check the tires? maybe you don't have fresh air in the tires!".

Classic.
