You really gotta go for the 255 front. The car needs the extra grip up front and the bonus is that the 255 tire rub less then the 245. Our cars can actually take a very aggressive offset. I am running a 255/35/18 front tire on a 9.5" Apex ARC-8 with a +30 offset and I don't get much rubbing at all. The major limiting factor with the front tires on our cars is the tire diameter. The 255/35/18 has a smaller diameter then the realitively fat 245/40/18. Granted my suspesion is pretty stiff (525lb springs up front) but my car is also pretty low.
