It just has a bit of a delay and seems like she takes 1/2 a second too long to actually fire up. Then for a few seconds she kind of "grumbles" before the revs level out and the engine gets silky smooth. It feels like something is dirty but I feel starting issue is separate. That definitely could the the battery, I'll have it checked tomorrow. With 186k a lot of things could be the culprit.
It might just be in my head also since my Sportage has a push button start and it feels like it is fired up before you even press the button.
